Advanced Wound Care

  • Acute wounds

Acute wounds are typically the result of trauma or surgical incisions and heal efficiently with proper care.

    • Abrasions: Caused by friction against a rough surface, often referred to as a scrape.

    • Lacerations: Deep cuts or tears in the skin that may have jagged edges and are caused by blunt trauma or a hard blow.

    • Punctures: Wounds caused by a sharp, pointed object, such as a nail or needle, that pierces the skin.

    • Surgical incisions: Intentional cuts made by a surgeon during a medical procedure, which are typically clean-edged.

    • Burns: Injuries caused by heat, chemicals, electricity, or radiation, with first-degree burns being a common acute wound.

    Chronic wounds

Chronic wounds fail to heal in a timely or orderly fashion, often due to underlying health issues like poor circulation or diabetes.

    • Diabetic foot ulcers: Caused by nerve damage and poor circulation associated with diabetes, which can make small foot injuries go unnoticed and lead to a serious infection.

    • Venous ulcers: The most common type of chronic leg ulcer, these occur when damaged leg veins cause blood to pool, leading to tissue damage and ulcer formation.

    • Pressure ulcers: Also known as bedsores, they form over bony areas due to constant, prolonged pressure that restricts blood flow. Common areas include the tailbone, hips, and heels.

    • Arterial ulcers: Result from poor blood flow due to blocked arteries, commonly affecting the feet and toes.

    • Non-healing surgical wounds: Surgical incisions that do not close properly due to infection, poor circulation, or other underlying conditions.

  • We provide cutting-edge wound care using the latest medical technologies to accelerate healing and reduce complications.

    • Our treatments include debridement (removal of damaged tissue), advanced dressings, negative pressure wound therapy (wound vacs), and Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) to increase oxygen at the cellular level.

    • For complex wounds, we also offer biologic skin substitutes and grafting solutions—including fish-derived grafts (such as Kerecis®) and placental-based allografts (such as Mimedix®)—which support natural tissue regeneration and lower infection risk.

    • Whether you're healing from a chronic ulcer or recovering from surgery or trauma, we use the most advanced tools available to support full recovery.

  • Wound healing is not one-size-fits-all. Every patient at Advanced Hyperbaric receives a personalized treatment plan built around their unique needs, diagnosis, and health history.

    • Our care is overseen by a board-certified medical team with expertise in wound management, ensuring every decision is grounded in clinical best practices.

    • We don’t offer generic or cosmetic wound services—this is medical-grade care focused on real healing and long-term health.
